Visiting Whitman College

Fall for Whitman Day

Saturday, October 19, 2024
Join us for Fall for Whitman Day! You’ll get a comprehensive look at life on campus and see the Whitman community in action.

Early Check-In and Campus Exploration—Friday

4-6 p.m.

If you will be arriving on Friday, take advantage of our early check-in option. This allows you to settle in and get a head start on exploring the campus. Enjoy an evening campus tour, engage in some campus activities and explore Walla Walla

Check-In

8-10 a.m.

Check in opens at 8 a.m. If you haven’t visited Whitman’s campus before, we recommend arriving no later than 8:30 a.m. to start your day with a student-led tour and an admission and financial aid information session. If you’ve visited already, you’ve already gone on a tour, so you may wish to arrive a little later. There will be a student activities fair throughout the check-in time  that will give you a chance to meet Whitman students involved in some of Whitman’s 100+ clubs and organizations prior to the opening session at 10 a.m.

Opening Session

10 a.m.

Fall for Whitman Day will officially begin with a welcome from Whitman’s President Sarah Bolton!

Brunch & Beyond

10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

During this time, enjoy Saturday brunch (and made-to-order coffee!) in Cleveland Commons. You’ll also be able to get a taste of academic life by attending sample classes, get a behind-the-scenes look at some of Whitman’s special programs, and explore Whitman’s residence halls. You can also register for individual meetings to discuss how Whitman supports students throughout their time at Whitman.

Student and Family Panels

1:30-2:30 p.m.

Current Whitties will share their experiences and answer questions from prospective students. Family members will have a separate panel just for them!

Closing Festivities

2:30 p.m.

We’ll wrap up the day with some parting thoughts and a Whitman swag raffle!

We can’t wait to welcome you to campus and help you discover all that we have to offer!
