• Site Map • Take the Tour //// To get there by car: Take the Via del Mare and follow the plentiful yellow road signs marked "Scavi di Ostia Antica."   Getting to Ostia by bus / train from Rome: It's a combination Metro / train ride; allow about 45 minutes. From Rome, ride the Metro (line B) to the Piramide stop. Exit and walk to the left to the Lido trains (same ticket as the Metro, trains run twice hourly) and ride to Ostia Antica (the stop before Ostia Lido). Upon arrival, cross the road via the blue skybridge and walk straight down Via della Stazione di Ostia Antica, following signs to Scavi di Ostia Antica, about 400 meters to the gate.   The ruins of Ostia Antica are open seven days a week, (admission 5 Euro).
