Chamber Music Auditions

Chamber music is an opportunity to make music in a smaller setting with weekly coaching and an additional weekly rehearsal/sectional with other members of the group. Membership is by audition, so please contact Dr. Amy Dodds at doddsan@whitman.edu to arrange a meeting. Any string players, wind players, and pianists (and occasionally other instruments) are welcome to audition. Recent groups have included string quartets, quintets, octets, piano trios/quartets/quintets, a flute-and-strings quartet, and a flute/cello/piano trio.

Performance opportunities include a year-end concert, other recitals, and various (paid) gigs both on and off campus.

Membership (not exclusively but typically) is for the full year.
