The Design of the Logo
The standard Whitman dark blue contrasts with a new, lighter blue while a golden yellow—reminiscent of the Walla Walla Valley’s wheat fields—represents the history of the region.
The peaks of the Blue Mountains surround the Whitman Blues just as they encircle the college and the Walla Walla Valley.
A neatly intertwined "WC" ligature differentiates Whitman from a number of regional teams that use only a W in their logos.
A custom font for the "Whitman Blues" wordmark includes unusual letterforms that reflect Whitman's whimsical side and numbers to be used on team uniforms.
