Shelby Hearn

Shelby Hearn is an educator and advocate who has dedicated their career to fostering radically welcoming campuses and has been involved in queer community organizing, advocacy and support work for nearly 10 years. Originally from Georgia, they have a B.A. in English from the University of West Georgia and an M.Ed. in Higher Education from Loyola University Chicago. Prior to their arrival to Whitman in July 2024, Shelby worked at the University of Utah as Assistant Director of the LGBT Resource Center and later Associate Director of Student Support in the Dean of Students.
