Nathanael Fleming
Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Nathanael performs a wide variety of genres from opera to musical theater to jazz. In 2023, he made his company debuts with SF Pocket Opera as Orpheus (Orpheus in the Underworld) and Walla Walla Summer Theatre as Dr. Neville Craven (The Secret Garden).
Nathanael made his musical theatre debut in 2021 with 42nd Street Moon in the Ensemble/Journalist (Chess in Concert). In 2022, he had his company debut with SF Lamplighters Music Theatre as Montague “Monty” Navarro (A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder), followed by his opera debut with Seattle Gilbert & Sullivan Society as Frederic (The Pirates of Penzance).
While at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Nathanael’s musical theatre performances included the Baker (Into the Woods), Macheath (The Threepenny Opera) and El Gallo (The Fantasticks). With SFCM’s Opera Theater, he appeared as Dr. Blind (Die Fledermaus), Mr. Angel (The Impresario), Tanzmesiter (Ariadne auf Naxos), Lacouf (Les Mamelles de Tirésias), and Sheldon (Later the Same Evening).
Nathanael graduated with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he studied with Jane Randolph. He received his BA in Film & Media Studies with a Minor in Music from Whitman College, where he also played varsity soccer.
