Pablo Izquierdo

Pablo Izquierdo is currently principal oboe with the Portland Chamber Orchestra, Walla Walla Symphony, and the Newport Symphony Orchestra. He is a member of the Vancouver Symphony(WA) and the Sinfonia Concertante of Portland. He was principal oboe of the Portland Opera Orchestra for 20 years.

He plays in several summer festivals, including the Siletz Bay Music Festival, Portland Festival Symphony, and the McCall festival in Idaho. In addition to performing, he is an adjunct teacher of oboe at Reed College,
Warner Pacific College, Walla Walla University, and Whitman College. He enjoys teaching students at all levels, and has helped many students make the transition from high school to college and conservatory level performance.
