Rhetoric Graduate Programs
Zac Parker completed a Rhetoric major, as well as a major in Philosophy at Whitman. A dedicated member of the forensics team, Zac graduated in 2015 and is currently pursuing a graduate degree in the field at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Samantha Grainger-Shuba completed a Rhetoric major at Whitman in 2016. Sam's senior thesis, "'This Is Not a Legal Proceeding': Deconstructing the New Title IX," was awarded the National Communication Association's 2016 James Golden Oustanding Student Essay in Rhetoric award, as well as the Southern States Communication Association's Franklin Shirley Award for Best Undergraduate Paper. Sam will take a year off before pursuing graduate work in rhetorical studies.
