Why you chose Whitman: I chose Whitman because I was felt so welcomed by the track team. It was very easy to imagine Whitman being my home, the campus was a perfect size and the surrounding wheat fields and nature brought a relaxing escape coming from a big city. I loved the outdoorsy, energetic and kind environment the students at Whitman bring.
Favorite things to do in Walla Walla: My favorite run is up Mill Creek with my teammates.
Favorite spot on campus: Doing homework in the library next to the windows that overlook Ankeny helps me push through those challenging assignments. I get to pause and people watch every now and then before diving back into my papers. On sunny days I love the natural light that comes through the large windows.
What advice you’d give yourself when you were going through the college process: I wish I took more time to develop questions and used the resources colleges have to help me understand what the college experience would be like at their school.
Best class you’ve taken on campus: Psychology of Law has been my favorite class so far. It is the intersection of what’s going on in a criminals mind and the interpretation of a crime.
Favorite campus traditions: Taste of Africa
