Reunions FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Registration and Payment Questions
Q: What should I wear?
A: Most events during the reunion weekend are casual with the possible exception of the Saturday evening dinner. Watch the reunion schedule as the reunion draws near and you will find tips on what to wear listed at the end of each event description.
Q: Is there childcare?
A: During Reunion Weekend, Whittie Kids, a program for children ages 7-14, is available. Sign up for the program when you register for Reunion Weekend. Pre-registration is required. Younger reunion class events are typically family-friendly.
Q: Can I attend a reunion other than my own class reunion?
A: Yes, you are welcome to attend any reunion but you will only receive information for the class you are affiliated with. If you did not graduate and have not been in touch with the college but are interested in attending, please contact the Alumni Office at 509-527-5167.
Q: If I have special dietary or accessibility needs, can you accommodate me?
A: We are able to accommodate most dietary needs with advance notice; this information will be collected from you on the reunion registration form. If you have accessibility needs, we will work with you to provide reasonable accommodations, if made in advance of your visit. We may not be able to meet last-minute requests. Please contact the Alumni Office at 509-527-5167.
Registration and Payment Questions:
Q: How will I register?
A: Online registration is available for all reunion classes approximately 6-8 weeks before the event weekend. If you have any questions or issues, please call the Alumni Office at 509-527-5167 and a staff member will assist you.
Q: What's the difference between an RSVP/Plan to Attend and Registration?
A: Your RSVP/Plan to Attend lets us know if you are LIKELY to attend; we use this information to help in the planning process. When you register for the reunion, you will fill out an online form and pay for the various meals you will attend.
Q: When I register do I pay a lump sum?
A: No, you will be able to choose the meals you wish to attend; we use an à la carte system. The cost of all meals for a reunion weekend will run roughly $120-150 per person (but remember, you don't have to sign up for everything if you don't want to).
Q: When will registration materials be available?
A: Registration materials will be available approximately 6-8 weeks prior to the reunion and are due approximately 10 days in advance. You will be notified by mail and email when registration is open.
Q: Do you have a refund policy?
A: Yes! If you let us know before the refund deadline, we will refund everything except the registration fee.
Q: What about accommodations?
A: The reunion website is a wealth of information! Some hotels have blocks reserved; thirty days in advance, any unsold rooms in the blocks are released to the public. Other hotels offer a Whitman College rate. You will also find links to Airbnb and VRBO properties. Other options are available at www.wallawalla.org/lodging
Q: Is there air service to Walla Walla?
A: Alaska Airlines serves Walla Walla daily with flights to/from Seattle. See www.alaskaair.com. Other air carriers fly in and out of the Pasco Regional Airport.
