Josh Wnuk ’03
Josh Wnuk ’03 is a Whittie who feels deeply inspired and passionate about giving back. Through his commitments to supporting a seminar series in the sciences and serving as a member of the President’s Advisory Board, he has made it his mission to see that students are supported to thrive at Whitman. His 23 consecutive years of giving have helped Whitman make strides in Academic Excellence; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; and Access and Affordability.
While at Whitman, Wnuk was an active participant in Kehillat-Shalom and the Associated Students of Whitman College. He gives credit to his professors for mentoring him throughout his time as an undergraduate—giving him a reason to pay it forward.
Wnuk earned a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Chemistry at Whitman. He later earned his Master of Arts and doctorate in Chemistry at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Wnuk serves as a Principal Engineer at Intel Corporation. He lives in Portland, Oregon, with his wife, Danica, and their three children, Rina, Isaac and Levi.
Fifty Under 50 is a new initiative recognizing emerging leaders in philanthropy. Members are graduates of the class of 1989 or later and have made gifts and pledges exceeding $50,000 to the campaign.
