Rob Hinnen ’91
Former President’s Advisory Board and Investment Committee Member Rob Hinnen ’91, has stayed engaged with Whitman College throughout the entirety of his postgraduate life. Also, serving on the Alumni Board and the Reunion Fund Committee, Hinnen has never strayed too far away from supporting the needs of generations of students after him. Hinnen is a proud advocate for safe and stable housing for Whitman students through his support for the new junior-senior residential village and for access and affordability at Whitman.
Hinnen majored in Economics at Whitman. After graduating, he went on to study at Harvard Law School. He is currently the Principal and Co-Founder of Cairn Pacific LLC, an urban redevelopment company. He resides in central Oregon with his wife, Nancy. Whitman is something of a tradition in Hinnen’s family, with fellow Whitties including his two children, Kathryn Hinnen ’22 and Kayla Hinnen ’24; his sister, Megan Read ’98; and his cousin, Nicole Smith ’99.
