Sarah Wang ’89

Sarah Wang ’89 is a member of Whitman’s Board of Trustees and a Partner at Marr Jones & Wang in Honolulu. A Political Science major, varsity swimmer, and summa cum laude graduate of Whitman, Wang has generously supported a variety of priorities at Whitman, including the First Opportunity Scholarship; the junior-senior residential village; diversity, equity and inclusion; and the W Club. “I attribute so much of who and where I am today to my formative experiences at Whitman,” she says. “It is my desire and my honor to do what I can to ensure similarly positive experiences for current and future Whitties.” Prior to serving on the Board of Trustees, Wang served on the Board of Overseers and the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Fifty Under 50 is a new initiative recognizing emerging leaders in philanthropy. Members are graduates of the class of 1989 or later and have made gifts and pledges exceeding $50,000 to the campaign.
