Whitman is a Princeton Review “Best Value College” 2014
According to The Princeton Review, Whitman College is one of the nation’s 150 “Best Value Colleges.”
The 2014 list includes 75 public and 75 private colleges that “The Princeton Review” has selected for its book, “The Best Value Colleges: 2014 Edition.” The list does not rank the schools beyond the top 10.
Colleges are included in the list based on a survey of more than 2,000 undergraduate institutions during 2012-13. The selection process analyzed school-reported information across more than 30 data points covering academics, cost and financial aid, as well as data from The Princeton Review's surveys of students at the schools over the past three academic years.
Institutions that make the list combine stellar academics with affordability. The profile of Whitman featured in “The Best Value Colleges” praised the accessibility of faculty members to the student body, the availability of internships, study abroad and other research opportunities, as well as the full suite of scholarships available to Whitman students.
