Whitman ranks second in the state of Washington for higher education, according to BestColleges.com.
"Whitman prides itself on providing an education that goes beyond the classroom, helping mold students into scholars, explorers, and scientists," praises the site, which provides information and resources on academia.
"Campus life at Whitman is extremely active," the judges add.
Whitman stands out among the approximately 90 colleges and universities statewide for its "facilities, educational offerings, and overall values," assessors conclude, with only the University of Washington rated higher in key metrics such as academics and affordability.
This isn't the first time BestColleges.com has commended the Blues. Whitman recently ranked 10th for best professors and 13th for non-traditional students.
