Whitman Named to Kiplinger "Best Value" Colleges

Whitman made the cut for Kiplinger's 400 Best College Values for 2019, based on objective measurements of academic quality and affordability. Introduced in 1998, the rankings now combine public schools, private universities and private liberal arts colleges into a single, comprehensive list, as well as ranking schools in each category.

Whitman comes in at No. 37 among liberal arts colleges and No. 64 overall. The full rankings are available online and in print in the September 2019 issue of Kiplinger's Personal Finance. Editors look at data from nearly 1,200 public and private four-year colleges and select the top schools using factors such as SAT or ACT scores, admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratio and graduation rate, as well as cost and financial aid.
