Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance
Whitman College is a member of the Liberal Arts Colleges Racial Equity Leadership Alliance (LACRELA). Since its launch in 2020, nearly 70 colleges have joined the six institutions that established the alliance: DePauw University, Oberlin College, Occidental College, Pomona College, Macalester College, and Skidmore College. Amongst the benefits of membership LACRELA offers monthly antiracism, diversity, and equity virtual learning sessions designed for higher education professionals. Each institution is allotted eight spots per three-hour synchronous session. Due to the limited number of allowed participants, we ask attendees to take back and share what they have learned with their respective teams.
