Summer Fly-In FAQs
Whitman will cover all costs associated with the Fly-In program including travel, lodging, meals and supplies. The only money participants will need is spending money if they want to buy something from the Whitman College Bookstore or from a store in downtown Walla Walla.
If you are flying to Walla Walla, we will send you your e-ticket flight information and will meet you at the airport to shuttle you back to campus. If you are driving, we will meet you upon your arrival and help you get settled.
Summer Fly-In students will be housed in Jewett Hall. During the sessions, the Residence Life staff will provide a tour of the other residence halls so students will be able to see all of the fall housing options.
Summer Fly-In students only need to bring their personal items such as clothing and toiletries; everything else will be provided — sheets, blankets and (small) towels.
There will be time to explore campus and Walla Walla, so students should pack casual and comfortable clothes, tennis shoes and a swimsuit.
