March 10, 2023: Working Draft of Updated Strategic Priorities—Inviting Your Input
Dear Whitman Students and Colleagues,
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the strategic priority review process so far! The participation of hundreds of people in assessing progress on the existing priorities in October, suggesting initial ideas in November and December, and responding to emerging themes in January and February has been fantastic. All of us on the Steering Committee deeply appreciate the engagement of so many students, staff and faculty in thinking together about our future.
With your input, the Steering Committee has put together a first working draft of updated strategic priorities, and we are interested in your thoughts and feedback. The draft is linked here.
This draft summarizes broad themes to guide our work in the coming years. We have also received a lot of very specific suggestions that are too detailed to go into a college-wide plan. We are saving those to use as we dive into more specifics of implementation next year.
There are several ways to provide your feedback, both in person and through an anonymous survey, here.
Below is a list of upcoming in-person opportunities for feedback (locations TBA after spring break.). We may add some further dates as well depending on folks' interest in additional conversation.
