Emma Lungren '19, a biology major, conducted research at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle through a summer internship funded by a Whitman Internship Grant. "I'm doing science; this is cool," she said at the time. "The stuff I've gotten to do," Lungren continued, has "been really good for thoughts on what I'm going to do after college."
