Whitman College First Responders
Mission:
The mission of the Whitman College First Responders (WCFR) is to provide professional, efficient and effective advanced first aid to the Whitman College Campus. Serving Whitman students, faculty, staff, visitors and their families, WCFR responds to calls made to Security for medical assistance outside of Health Center hours during the academic year. Whitman College First Responders shall also work to promote awareness for public health campaigns and provide medical training in the campus community.
Services:
Physical injuries, allergic reactions, poisoning/overdoses, hyper/hypothermia, respiratory distress, hypoglycemia, cardiac emergencies, events.
Events:
WCFR is available upon request to provide standby services at your event. We will attend your event and provide any advanced first-aid support to attendees, whether they are students, staff, faculty or visitors. Any department, office, school, organization, center or group officially affiliated with Whitman College may request our services by contacting the Community Officer.

How to join:
We will train a new cohort of responders at the beginning of each semester. No prior experience is required. To stay up to date on when we are starting training, follow us on Instagram (@wc_firstresponders) and watch for emails through campus announcements.
