Housing & Room Change Requests
All on-campus housing changes must be requested for the Spring 2025 semester through the Housing Change Request Form. Completed forms must be submitted by 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Current residents will recieve an email on Nov. 11 with access to the form.
Please note: Students who reserve a room for the Spring 2025 semester and later choose to move off-campus or into a fraternity will be subject to a $300 charge.
Eligibility for Interest Houses
After your first year, students are eligible to apply to live in an Interest House Community (IHC). Applications for IHC housing are due Nov. 19.
Spring Semester Room Change Process
Single Rooms
Single rooms will be assigned based on class seniority. Students must sign up in person at the Residence Life office (Mem 130) Dec. 4 or 5 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Room assignments will be made Friday, Dec. 6.
Please note: Single rooms have an additional fee.
Double Rooms
Same Hall Room Changes
Students interested in moving to a different room within their current hall—either alone or with a roommate—should complete the Housing Change Request Form and coordinate with their Community Director (CD) or Residence Director (RD) for room preferences.
Different Hall Room Changes
Students interested in moving to a different hall must sign up in person at the Residence Life office (Mem 130) Dec. 4 or 5 during office hours. Assignments will be made Friday, Dec. 6.
Priority for empty double rooms will be based on the following criteria:
- Current residents of the hall
- Class seniority
- Random draw within each class
Room Checkout Deadline
Students moving into another hall, room, a fraternity, the IHC or moving off campus must vacate their current room and complete the checkout process by noon on Saturday, Dec. 21.
Students Without Roommates
Students assigned to a double room who do not have a roommate have until Dec. 5 to find a roommate of their choosing. The Residence Life office may assign a roommate after the deadline. Students who refuse a roommate can incur a charge for a premium room.
