Alpha Phi
In 1872, Alpha Phi was founded as a Women’s Fraternity at Syracuse University. In the decades since our founding, Alpha Phi has spread to become a National Sorority which prides itself on creating a supportive sisterhood for collegiate women to strive to achieve academically and in extra-curriculars. At Whitman College, Alpha Phi is committed to providing a sisterhood for women to bond, create memories and achieve.
From weekend functions, to study tables, to formal dinners, to sisterhood trips off campus, Alpha Phi provides a constant network of support and opportunity for women to succeed in all aspects of collegiate life. Through opportunities for leadership such as the Executive Counsel, to the “Big & Little” program, Alpha Phi is a unique college opportunity, with rewards that will last a lifetime. Our motto, “union hand in hand,” is the common thread that empowers us to act with courage, passion and responsibility, within our sorority and beyond. By working together actively and respectfully, we strive to elevate Whitman College and Alpha Phi, and to ensure the joint success of our sisters and our sisterhood for years to come.
